Bai Yang is currently a third year undergraduate student at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music and member of the Sichuan Clarinet Society. He is studying with professor Sun Zhen.  Bai Yang won excellent results in some clarinet competitions.
In 2018 he won the first prize in  “The First Buffet (China) Youth Clarinet Competition” Philharmonic Group B. In 2019 he won the third prize in the “Yamaha National Clarinet Competition Preliminary” Chengdu Division. In 2021, he won the fourth place in the Philharmonic Group A of the Second Buffet Cup (China) Youth Clarinet Competition and with the Yuchu Clarinet Quartet he won the first place in the Philharmonic group of the Second Buffet clarinet competition. In 2021, he won the fifth place in the Youth group of the 1st Witold Freeman International Clarinet Competition in Poland. In 2022, the second place of “Qingdao National Clarinet Professional Ensemble” and the Second prize of Yamaha Wind Music Scholarship. In July 2023, he won the third place in the professional youth group of the “Third Buffet National Clarinet Competition”. In November 2023 he was finalist of the 7th Lisbon International Clarinet Competition.
