From Portugal, Lisbon, Martim is 21 years old and he is currently doing Master in Orchestra in HEMU, in Lausanne, with his teacher Florent Héau . Recently he as been awarded with the 3rd prize on Jacques Lancelot Competition, in Yokosuka, Japan – one of the most prestigious clarinet competitions in the world. Martim has started his musical and clarinet studies and with João Pedro Santos, in AMSC, with 9 years old until his 18. At the age of 10 he started to participate frequently in the masterclasses of António Saiote in Portugal and even in Europe, mainly in Loures, once per month. After high school he did his bachelor in ESMAE, with his mentor and commender of the order of the prince D. Henrique, António Saiote. In the month of May, he has won the place in Sinfonietta de Lausanne as an academic and the audition for Festival Academie Orchestre Philharmonique Radio France, in Montpellier. Martim is a freelancer and soloist clarinetist, with almost 20 prizes in national and international clarinet competitions and also with recordings for CD ́s. He gives masterclasses, recitals with piano and, since the pandemic COVID-19, Martim plays often in care homes. He has also played as a soloist with some orchestras. Martim ́s talent and success has been recognized by Câmara Munincipal de Loures with a vote of praise.
