Haoran Wang studied at the China Conservatory of Music, at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels with Jean-Marc Fessard and at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne where he is currently a pupil of Pascal Moraguès. He has developed his technique after encounters with numerous teachers including Michel Arrignon, Nicolas Baldeyrou, Romain Guyot, Bruno Bonansea, Florent Héau and François Benda. Haoran is a laureate of the Saverio Mercadante International Clarinet Competition (Second Prize), Concours National de Clarinette en Picardie (First Prize) and the Chamber Music Northwest International Clarinet Competition (Third Prize). He has performed recitals at venues including the Grande Salle in Brussels and the Lincoln Hall in Portland, Oregon.
