Tsai-yi Yu starts playing clarinet at the age of 9. After graduating from the high school in Taiwan, she goes abroad in France. She is continuing a Bachelor degree at National high conservatory of music and dance in Lyon with the professors: Nicolas Baldeyrou and Franck Amet.
In 2020 she won the first prize in Buffet Crampon Clarinet Competition. In 2019 she won the first prize in Japan Classical Music Competition.
