About this project
Tomer Ornan is an avid clarinet soloist, chamber musician and a permanent member of the Israeli Revolution Orchestra. Beforehend, he held permanent and temprorary orchestral position such as acting bass clarinet at the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, acting assistant principal and Eb Clarinet at the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, assistant principal clarinet at the Haifa Symphony Orchestra and clarinet academist at the Bern Symphony Orchestra in Switzerland.
As a soloist, he collaborated with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, The Kyiv Virtuosi Orchestra, the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, the Ra’anana Symphonette, and the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Lahav Shani at the Charles Brofman Auditorium. He has been a laureate of several International and national competitions inculding the Crusell International Clarinet Competition, The Chieti Classica Clarinet Competition, the Israeli Winds Competition and all of the four Buchmann-Mehta School of Music competitions.
Tomer owns a Master degree studying with Francois Benda at the Basel Academy of Music FHNW, and a Bachelor degree, studying with Yevgeny Yehudin at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music TAU.
