Japanese clarinetist, Rina Maezawa began her studies in Yokohama. Since 2018, she has been based in France and started her musical career. She studied at the PESMD de Bordeaux with Richard Rimbert, Sandrine Vasseur and Yasuaki Itakura and currently studies with Pascal Moraguès, Jérôme Comte at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. She has worked in many different concerts with the Opera National de Bordeaux. She is a laureate of the Young Clarinettist Competition in Japan (Second Prize) and the Julián Menéndez International Clarinet Competition in Spain (Fourth Prize) and the Caluire Clarinet Competition in France (Second Prize).
