About this project
Clarinetist Geukchan Lee born in South Korea in 2004 started playing the clarinet at the age of 10, influenced by his father who is a clarinetist and his mother who is a horn player. He won many competitions in Korea, also he won 2nd place at the CLUJ International Music Competition.
He performed with Paju Philharmonic Orchestra, Cheongju Philharmonic Orchestra, Busan Philharmonic Orchestra, Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra and Transylvania State Philharmonic Orchestra.
He graduated from Yewon School, an art middle school, and after entering Seoul Arts High School at the age of 16, he entered the Korea National University of Arts as an early admission and currently enrolled in 4th year and he is expected to graduate in August 2024. Additionally, he will study for a master’s degree (music performance – concert) at the Haute Ècole de Musique de Lausanne from September 2024.
