About this project
Noah Jung is a graduate of the Colburn Music Academy, where he studied with professor Yehuda Gilad. He has won several national and international competitions such as finalist by the National YoungArts Foundation in the classical music category, first prize in the Accademia Italiana del Clarinetto’s Web Clarinet Contest and prizes in the Silverstein Clarinet Competition.
Hosted by Jamie Bernstein, Noah performed Leonard Bernstein’s Clarinet Sonata with the Peoria Symphony Orchestra at Ravinia Festival- Bernstein’s 100th anniversary. He also performed the Mozart Clarinet Concerto with the Colburn Sinfonietta after winning the annual Concerto Competition held at Colburn. Noah played with NYO-USA for two summers, Verbier Festival’s Junior Orchestra, the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the Colburn Youth Orchestra as principal clarinetist.
Noah was also accepted to play in Yellowbarn’s Young Artist Program where he performed Reger’s Clarinet Quintet and Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire. Noah has been accepted to many of the top conservatories in the U.S., such as the Curtis Institute of Music and the Juilliard School of Music. Currently, he studies with Anthony McGill as a Columbia-Juilliard exchange student, where he’s also pursuing a degree in cognitive science.
