About this project
Sojung Lee, a renowned clarinetist, graduated from Seoul Arts High School. She earned her Bachelor of Music from the Korea National University of Arts and her Master’s degree from the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. She is currently pursuing the Konzertexamen at the Lübeck Academy of Music and she will begin the Academy program of Philharmonisches Orchester der Hansestadt Lübeck next season.
Sojung has performed as a soloist with the Seongnam Philharmonic Orchestra in the ‘Young Korean Talents Series’. She has also collaborated with the KNUA Clarinet Ensemble in their regular concerts. Recognized for her talent, she received the KB Bank Scholarship and was selected as a “Distinguished Alumna” of Seoul Arts High School. Additionally, she was selected as a Kumho Young Chamber Artist, performing with the Yul Quintet.
Her orchestral experience includes serving as a guest principal clarinetist with Belgium’s L’Orchestre Symphonique de La Monnaie, as well as with the Gangneung Philharmonic Orchestra and Symphony Song Orchestra, with performances at venues such as Suntory Hall and Osaka The Symphony Hall. Lee has participated in esteemed festivals including the International Mendelssohn Festival, the Seoul Arts Center Summer Music Festival, the Pohang Music Festival, and the Gyeonggi Classical Festival.
