About this project
Joshua Choi began studying clarinet at age 7 under his father’s guidance. At 10, he was accepted to the Juilliard Pre-College Division and was taught by Mrs. Laura Flax, later studying with Mrs. Ayako Neidich. Currently a third-year undergraduate at The Juilliard School, Joshua is under the tutelage of Mr. Charles Neidich. He has had numerous appearances in competitions like the ICA Competition, Camerata Artists, and Caprio Young Artist. As Principal Clarinetist of the New York Youth Symphony, he contributed to a Grammy Award-winning album in 2022. Joshua is a proud recipient of a Kovner Fellowship at Juilliard.
