Clarinetist Zhen Sun is an active performer and teacher. As a soloist, he performed with Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra (Monaco), Evora Orchestra (Portugal) Brussel  Phiharmonic Orchestra (Belgium),Orchestre de la Garde republicaine(France),Free State Orchestra(South African)and many major orchestra in China.

Zhen Sun won the 4^th prize at the José Augusto Alegria International Competition (Portugal) and the 1^st prize at the London International Chamber Music Competition (woodwind section).

Zhen Sun has participated in many music festivals including: MusicNature International Chamber Music Festival (USA), Kooperationfür Musik in der Großregion (Germany), European International Music Festival (France), International Woodwinds Festival (Switzerland), Music Intima (Belgium), ARS Musical (Belgium), Printemps des arts (Monaco), and Canton International Summer Music Academy (China).

An advocate of new music, Zhen Sun is the founding member of Neo Ensemble (Belgium). He also played with Ensemble Accroche Note (Belgium).

Zhen Sun is a faculty member of Sichuan Conservatory of Music (Chengdu, China) since 2012. He gives masterclasses in China,Belgium,US,Canada,Portugal Japan and Thailand.His students won many international competition prizes such as The Guy Deplus international competition,The Mercadeante international competition,The Tilburg clarinet competition ,THe Lisbon clarinet competition  and The Thailand international Competition.

His Primary teachers include Jean-Pierre Peuvion, Eddy Vanoosthuyse, Pascal Moragues, Benjamin Dieltjens, Bo Yu, Gang Xu and Kai Zheng.
