1st and 2nd Round Competition

The applications for the preselection of the 6th International Clarinet Competition were a great succes. 65 candidates where selected to participate in the actual competition. Find out about the candidates on their personal pages.

The 1st and 2nd round of the competition take place from October 30 until November 2, 2024 in the Miry Hall of the Royal Conservatory of Ghent and have free access. During these two rounds candidates will perform with piano.

In the 1st round they all perform the fixed program of the 1st movement of the Mozart Concerto and a new composition for clarinet and tape written for the competition by Patricia Gil Jiménez. In the 2nd round the candidates will perform the Fantasiestücke by Schumann and 2 repertoire pieces chosen form the obligated lists.
